The Tantasqua Music Association is a non-profit, 501(c)3, organization dedicated to supporting performing arts education in the Tantasqua Regional School District. These programs push for excellence and allow students to discover their own creativity and enhance their self-esteem and confidence in an atmosphere that is comfortable and encouraging.
Music programs at the junior and senior high schools consist of a wide variety of instrumental (concert band, jazz band, marching band, etc...), choral (chorus, Choraleers, jazz choir, etc...), and performing arts groups (show choirs, musicals, etc...). The funds raised by the TMA are used to fund equipment, instruments, uniforms, costumes, and much more.
For many students who might now otherwise be able to participate, the TMA helps to defray the program costs. The TMA organizes and participates in fundraisers, helps at music events, and generally supports the performing arts programs at both Tantasqua Junior and Senior High Schools.
More than a booster club, the TMA works with the Tantasqua music staff in determining and finding ways to make available funds that enrich and enhance the program on the whole, to afford our students a well-rounded music education and experience. From intensive camps, competitions and assessments to field-trips, road-trips and travel abroad, the TMA is committed to seeing every student achieve their maximum potential through multiple types of performing arts opportunities and performances. To help those more serious and dedicated students, the TMA gives out annual scholarships to help them well beyond their years at Tantasqua.
